MONTE’S TRAINER PROFILE
Seasoned and experienced
Monte Lee Rice is a seasoned and dynamic speaker, trainer-facilitator and educator, who has engaged a broad range of audience platforms, age groupings, and learning event settings. Not only is Monte well experienced with delivery to audiences of a thousand plus in attendance, he has also delivered more than 80 baccalaureate and master level courses. Monte has been based in or out of Singapore for over 17 years, and has traveled, lived or worked within some 15 nations in Southeast Asia, Africa and Europe. These experiences have contributed to his keen understanding of multi and cross-cultural dynamics, communication, paradigms, and worldviews.
Through a wide spectrum of leadership roles, Monte has also devoted much of his working life to serving a number of nonprofit, charitable organisations. These portfolios has enabled him to empower and mentor hundreds of lives towards their personal aspirations, as a both a caregiver and facilitator of human development.
Being widely read and consistently abreast on current trends, Monte is able to engage diverse knowledge and skill genres contextual to varied professional audiences or fields of study. His capacity arises from both his life experience and formal training, which has granted him a broad knowledge and competency base.
Monte holds two graduate degrees, one in which he graduated summa cum laude. His course work involved several graduate level courses in education, including modules such as leadership development, multi-cultural education and curriculum design and development. He has also published articles in a few regional journals.
Facilitates human empowerment
As a trainer, Monte defines himself as a human empowerment facilitator. He approaches training as an art of transforming learners into high performance achievers for innovative-seeking cultures.
Monte is experienced in facilitating retreat and camp events through a broad range of initiative, problem solving, survivor scenario and team-building games. In these events, he strives towards creating an ethos that is pure fun and challenging, yet targeting towards desired outcomes. Monte has ultilised outdoor and indoor initiative games with nearly all age groupings, from adulthood all the way to kindergarten, and able to innovate and contextualise games to specific contexts.
Orchestrates life-changing training events
Envisioning the awakening of each participant’s core intelligences, Monte fuses into every learning event, a wealth of pedagogue wisdom and learner centred, self-discovery paradigms. He seeks to orchestrate every training or team building event into a life-changing, inside-out learning experience.
Resonating throughout Monte’s training philosophy is the belief that “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” By facilitating higher-level, paradigm shifting learning processes, Monte always sets this benchmark for his participants: that each will encounter a learning moment, empowering him or her to a higher level of principled, creative synergy with one’s peers, manifest in a life of service for the common good.
